Cheese is the primary ingredient in many of my favorite dishes. I love cheese! When I was younger I would eat cheese daily and have eaten almost any kind of cheese. Nowadays it’s hard to find specific types of cheeses that I enjoy eating; however, I do still make sure to try different kinds, especially goat cheese. I love how the taste varies greatly between different types of cheeses. My favorites right now are blue cheese (I actually prefer the French ones) and Gouda.
My family is really big on homemade food, and we always make our own meals. We love to experiment with different combinations to create unique recipes that each member of the family loves. Our recent go-to dish was the “cheese pizza”. We had some leftover crusts from making pizzas before, and decided that they were perfect for making a cheesy pizza using cheddar cheese and mozzarella. After a few tries, we ended up with a great tasting cheesy pizza that everyone enjoyed!
A couple weeks ago, my mom bought me some fresh mozzarella cheese to use in a pasta recipe she wanted to try. We followed the directions on the back of the package and added a little bit of parmesan cheese after mixing with some tomato sauce. The taste was amazing! My mom said that it reminded her of something she ate at a restaurant years ago. So, today I went to Whole Foods Market to buy some mozzarella cheese to make a similar pasta dish myself. It was just as good as hers and tasted even better!
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
1 small box of penne pasta (about 4oz)
8 oz jar of marinara sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup of Parmesan Cheese
½ cup of mozzarella cheese
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package instructions.
