Review Super Bowl 55 Halftime Entertainment
1. Beyonce
Beyonce's halftime show was amazing! She performed her hit song 'Formation' and had some great dancers performing with her. I loved how she incorporated different cultures into her performance. Her dancers were wearing saris and Indian headdresses. She even brought out a special guest who was a member of the Black Panther Party. He wore his black leather jacket and carried a gun.
2. Coldplay
Coldplay's performance was awesome! They played their hit songs 'A Sky Full Of Stars' and 'Paradise'. I really liked how they sang about love and relationships. Their set included a lot of instruments like guitars, drums, bass, keyboards, and violins.
3. Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars' performance was pretty good! His set included many dance moves and he did a cover of Justin Timberlake's 'Can't Stop The Feeling!'
4. Katy Perry
Katy Perry's performance was pretty bad! She sang her hit song 'Roar' and danced around onstage. She also had a bunch of backup dancers that looked like ninjas.
5. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga's performance was pretty bad too! She sang her hit songs 'Perfect Illusion' and 'Applause' while dancing around onstage. She also did a cover of Rihanna's 'Diamonds.'
6. Maroon 5
Maroon 5's performance was pretty good! They sang their hit songs 'Sugar' and 'One More Night'. They also had a bunch of dancers that were dressed in suits and ties.
7. Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus' performance was pretty good too! She sang her hits 'Wrecking Ball' and 'We Can't Stop'. She also did a cover version of Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines.'
8. Beyonce
Beyonce's halftime show was amazing! She performed her hit song 'Formation' and had dancers performing choreographed moves alongside her. Her performance was full of energy and she really got everyone involved. I loved how she incorporated the American flag into her performance and even brought out some of her backup dancers dressed in red, white, and blue outfits. Overall, I thought her performance was great and I'm excited to see what else she does in the future.
9. Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars is known for his upbeat songs and energetic performances. He played a few of his hits including 'Uptown Funk', 'Locked Out Of Heaven', and 'When I Was Your Man'. His setlist included many different genres of music including pop, R&B, hip-hop, and country. I enjoyed watching him perform because he was able to incorporate many different styles of music into one performance.
10. Coldplay
Coldplay is a British band that consists of Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion, and Richard Stannard. Their musical style ranges from alternative rock to indie rock. I enjoyed their performance because they were able to play a variety of instruments and sing at the same time. They also did a cover of Adele's 'Hello' which was fun to watch.
11. Drake
Drake is a Canadian rapper who is best known for his singles 'Hotline Bling', 'One Dance', and 'God's Plan.' His performance consisted of rapping along with several live musicians. He performed a lot of his popular songs including 'Started From the Bottom', 'Controlla', 'Nice for What', and 'In My Feelings'. I enjoyed watching him perform mainly because he was able to rap while playing guitar and singing.
12. Maroon 5
Maroon 5 is an American pop/rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1996. The group currently consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist Mickey Madden, guitarist James Valentine, drummer Matt Flynn, bassist PJ Morton, and saxophonist Jesse Carmichael. They have released six studio albums, two compilation albums, three extended plays, and twenty-two singles. I enjoyed watching them perform because they were able to mix together various genres of music including pop rock, dance, and electronic.
13. Rihanna
Rihanna is an Barbadian singer, songwriter, actress, fashion designer, and businesswoman. She rose to fame after winning the fifth season of the television series The X Factor in 2006. Since then, Rihanna has sold over 100 million records worldwide and won numerous awards, including five Grammy Awards, eleven Brit Awards, and fourteen Billboard Music Awards. I enjoyed watching her performance because she was able to combine different types of music including reggae, hip hop, and EDM.
14. Shakira
Shakira is a Colombian singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, and philanthropist. She began her career as a child actor before becoming a recording artist. She has sold over 80 million records worldwide and received seven Grammy Award nominations. I enjoyed watching her perform because she was able to incorporate many genres of music including pop and Latin.
